Do You Stage Dive with a Backpack? If so, We need to Talk.

Through and through a common staple at many shows of a certain genre is stage driving. To concert attendees stage diving can either be a fun experience or something that will leave a bad taste in your mouth. For someone like myself, who doesn’t fancy jumping headfirst into a crowd of people I tend to stay away from the act of stage  diving. For the people who choose to stage dive at shows, they make their own memories and if staging diving assists with making memories, then go right ahead! I can respect someone’s choice to stage dive, though where a problem arises is when it comes to the pesky backpack. Time after time myself and many others have had run ins with people stage diving with backpacks. Ranging from small things like simply getting hit in the face with whatever brick you chose to keep in your backpack that night to getting choked when you decide to keep your straps loose when you jump off the stage. When in the middle of enjoying a show wouldn’t that be one of the last things you would want to happen? Now, I know what you’re probably thinking, can’t take the “hit” get out of the pit but there is a fine line between having a good time and not taking into account your surroundings. Now there is various reason one may bring a backpack to a show-which may have lessened now due to security reason-, the question I have is why would you stage dive with a backpack?
